Ten reasons why you should choose BMM
After completing high school and
junior college one often gets trapped in the claws of choosing career. I fell
too. I was confused between Engineering and Mass Communications. Finally I
chose Mass Communications and the sudden leap from science to a field closely
related to humanities invited awkward gazes from my family members. They
treated me as if I was undergoing a sex change operation.
A lot of them have also established a belief that i am pursuing some unrecognized course. Phew! It is certainly not easy. The stereotypes are way beyond your level of understanding but beside this, the course has been immensely rewarding. So here are ten reasons why you should join BMM-
1. If you want to get away from the boring monotonous approach of the current education system. BMM helps you to break loose your creativity and indulge in practical learning.
2. If you possess a talent and you want to show it to the world. It can be very common like writing, singing, dancing or it can be as strange as rapping, managing or directing. BMM has a lot of opportunities for talented students.
3. If you don't see yourself trapped in front of a computer coding programs or attending calls. There is a lot of field work in BMM. You constantly have to set your tail on fire here and run like a hungry cat behind her prey.
4. If you hate mugging up stuff from books. BMM doesn't really care about books, notes and theories. We certainly deal with them but we don't really need to learn them. The course focuses more on developing the fundamentals in communication.
5. If you are a good team player (or at least pretend to be one). During the entire course, there are a lot of projects and assignments that are done in a group. Here you are exposed to different kinds of people and their opinions and ideas. There are times when you wish killing people was legal but it often teaches you to slaughter your own ego and accept others' opinions also.
6. If you are a socializing animal. BMM is all about developing your contacts and networks. If you are sweet to people on their face, your journey will be easier here.
7. If you enjoy college festivals. College festivals are like Kumbh Mela. There is a different atmosphere all together. There are competitions that take a lot of your energy and are fun too. The entire college undergoes a makeover and there are events like drama, dance, photography etc.
8. If you enjoy deadlines. BMM submissions are the worst time a student can ever face. The last minute run for stapler, photocopies and sketch pens is way too hilarious to watch.
9. If you are a nocturnal creature. Again, projects, assignments and festivals keep you away from your sleep. If you enjoy the dark time, BMM is the right choice. Most of us are poor at time management and hence we burn our midnight lamps.
10. If you love having fun. Despite all the difficulties and drawbacks, BMM is one of the best courses. It has fun, learning, knowledge and opportunities. All you need to do is enter and keep your eyes open.
